PROJECT DIARY: Saves Time
A project diary is a simple tool for recording events related to your project. You can use software you know well (e.g., MS Excel) to track these events.
For instance, on 16.10.24 (column 1, when?), you met Dr. Mabuse (column 2, what?), discussed the problems of gambling (column 3, what?), and decided to jog instead (column 4, what?).
Spending a minute daily filling out the diary will give you a tool to recover the project's history and understand what happened, when, and why. Depending on your needs, you can increase the assortment of items you want to retain and write down your assumptions, activities, dates, people, contact data, etc.
You decide the level of detail. It does not take much time, but it is a great help when you need to scroll back and see how, when, and what originated.
