PRIORITIZATION: All Things Are Created Unequal
When you have to spend your resources, start with the premise: “All things cannot be equally important,” and develop your criteria to select the most important.
Why is this thing important? Is it essential for your future as a professional, as an employee, or as a personality? Or is it so because your boss says so? Or is it so because you expect the impact of the result to be fantastic?
Identify parameters, develop criteria, and evaluate things based on that.
It helps to remember that a minority of things usually account for most effects, as the 80/20 rule states: 20% of anything accounts for 80% of the impact. It is important to pick your fights and projects.
